I have a 25 foot Winnebago brave, cheaper to buy, its your home only in a different place, shorter than large euro models, fixed bed, fixed kitchen, fixed 3 seater sofa, swivel captains, and tub chair, full shower/tub and flushing loo, and turbo diesel, 20+ to the gallon at 70mph motorway speed, and will pull a house down, why would you want a over priced, under powered, cramp, euro box,
americans do know how to make an RV
buy the way I forgot the blown air con / heating and us sized fridge freezer if your still wondering
if not its the old damp ford transit for you, or some French engined not so reliable version

I have a 35 foot damion intruder rv, its big and does 12mpg
And we go places that vans cannot fit we love it . It's like taking your home with you so all these people who buy these little vans i.e. Camper vans you do not know what you are missing . You are so worried that it doesn't do 30 mpg you forget the comfort the rv has we are one off people if you cannot afford the petroleum don't buy one stay in your camper VAN

I have had a Burstner Aviano motorhome for some time now and after travelling around the UK, I feel it's time to adventure across the Channel to explore France. After reading reviews of St Avit campsite in Dordogne I am tempted to book it for 2 weeks with a sneaky trip to Disneyland on the return. The campsite has pools and activities for my toddlers and I will likely book through Eurocamp Indpenendent as they have kids clubs as well as cycling and swimming lessons. I can't decide on the type of insurance to book for this type of journey however. I have heard the campsite is very safe and has it's own security, but I need to ensure safety of the vehicle in Paris and on the trip down to the Dodogne. Your reference to motorhome break-in's at France service stations scares me, so I'm undecided on what level of cover to get : / . Any advice?

Who do Comfort use for windscreen cover. It's just after their closing time and I have tried phoning and selecting the option 1 but the line then cuts off. If I can find out who they use then I can phone direct maybe?

"A car on an A-Frame is not a trailer" This is not correct, Under the Road Traffic Act when use in such a manner has to comply with the requirements of a tailer so technically becomes one.

They use gas...google it...I know pro lorry drivers who have been gassed. French police know its common. Dont listen to doubters. Stay safe!

in northern areas, we have to shelter our vehicles from long hard winters, some barely used for 8 months of the year. I say include road tax in cost of fuel, that way every vehicle pays a proportionately fair share as it is driven.

Maybe carbon monoxide from night heater or boiler, or a gas leak or pilot-light blown out, or even fuel or exhaust fumes entering whilst driving or parked ... do have these things checked soonest. And always turn off gas at supply-tank before driving - never drive using the night heater!!!

nonesense.. owned a 36ft RV and it was a nightmare to park and to find sites that would accommodate it.. try parking you're RV in Newquay or any other Cornish town ... you can't , so you have to stay on site.. may as well buy a static caravan
